Dear friend,
We’ve rounded the corner of the new year and as we all get settled back into our regular routines and prepare for the year ahead, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support over the course of 2021. It was by no means an easy year for anyone, but while we rode the waves of uncertainty that continue to be our reality, our little organization managed to achieve some very exciting milestones. And we couldn’t have done that without you.
In 2021 we hired not one, but two coordinators, expanded our team of volunteers, hosted our first ever social media campaign, and had our first interns. We also had the honor of being recognized by TEDxAmsterdam as one of their Acts Worth Knowing, were interviewed by our long-time ally Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam for their International Women’s Day programming on NiceRadio, were a guest on Salt the Podcast, and told NF’s story at Stories of Womanhood. We also launched our latest period poverty initiative, Menstruation Stations, surpassed 1,000 Dignity Kits delivered, and celebrated our second birthday. Of course, we finished off the year with our period poverty awareness and fundraising campaign. It was our first campaign IRL, and it warmed our hearts seeing allies come out and support us, in ways both large and small.
For all its challenges (and there were many), 2021 was a year of making dreams come to life, a continued joy and thrill for our collective. So we’d like to say it again: thank you, thank you, thank you. Your support and shared passion for what we do makes all of this possible. We wish you a year of abundance, health, peace, love, and warmth – especially during this chilly, transitional period. We look forward to keeping you up to date as we pursue our 2022 goals and continue working towards ending period poverty in Amsterdam and beyond.
With all our gratitude,
Tammy, Anneloes, Camila, Nicole and Ivanka on behalf of the whole Neighborhood Feminists collective
